A protest will take place in Dublin, on the 8th January 2008, against the M3 motorway works at the Hill of Tara.
The demonstration will take place in the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square, Dublin, at 12am, and will include a demonstration/video production.
For those who wish to wish to take part in the video production there is a rehearsal on Sunday 6th of January at 4.00pm at the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin.
January 8th was the day the National Roads Authority (NRA) was supposed to hand over possession of the National Monument at Lismullin to SIAC Construction, before it was done quietly before Christmas.
Protests will also take place on 8 January,2008 in Belfast, London, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Melbourne and other cities. For more information e-mail info@tarawatch.org

The “development” of Meath continues.
Eirgrid, the state-owned electricity power transmission company in Ireland plans to build a network of high voltage overhead power lines through the Royal County of Meath linking the country’s electricity to Northern Ireland. The lines will run for over 58 kilometres through Meath, Cavan, Monaghan, crossing the border to County Tyrone in NI. Read the rest of this entry »
